Accueil Vélo and Accueil Rando
We are proud to be part of the Haute Vienne tourist boards “Accueil Rando” (Welcome Hikers) and “Accueil Vélo” (Welcome Cyclists) schemes due to our proximity to popular walking and cycling routes.
The Accueil Vélo and Rando is a sign of quality for the accommodation we provide, and of the services we offer to our guests. We can offer high quality accommodation in our 4-star classified Gite. With only a minimum two-night stay, we make an ideal stopover en-route, or the perfect place for a longer stay if you want a base to explore this beautiful regions off-road routes and trails by foot or on two wheels.
We’re located close to the sentier de grand randonée GR®6, the Eurovelo 3, (EV3) Scandiberique national cycle route, and La Vélidéale Limousin (V93) and provide a perfect stop en-route
There are multiple other routes available in the area for off road hiking and exploring, from short 30-minute circuits to explore the nature and patrimony of the area, to longer walking and cycling routes, such as the Voie Verte des Hauts de Tardoire and La Grande Boucle of the Parc Naturel Régional Périgord Limousin (PNPR). We are also situated just off of the historic route of Richard the Lionheart.
We offer comfortable accommodation options year-round, with a warm welcome, and provide extras for your stay tailored for our cycling or hiking guests.
Transfers & Luggage Drops
We can offer a collection and drop-off service for luggage and bikes, as well as guest collection and transfers (additional fees may apply)
Bike Storage & Care
We can provide dry and secure bike storage areas, as well as the facilities and tools for bikes to be washed and maintained.
Everything you need
All bedding and towels are provided and a laundry service is available. We can also provide basic meals, picnics and breakfast hampers.
Itinerary Assistance
We can assist with the planning of itineraries and navigation. High-speed wi-fi, shopping and print services are available.
For our guests using our location as a base for cycling or hiking holidays, there are some interesting routes for the commune, and further afield, passing points of interest such as the ruins of Chateau Lavauguyon, the source of the Charente river or the priory in Les Salles Lavauguyon. Details on local routes are provided for our guests.
Additionally there is a very useful free app called Loopi, created in partnership with the local tourist boards, which can be downloaded to your phone and can show you the nearest circular routes, guide you around the trails, and even giving you directions to join at the nearest point from wherever your position (ie starting from here, or a parking area). These are not just localised but trails can be found in most areas you may find yourself during your stay.
